Soi 8: Anatomy of a Bangkok Street (photo essay link)

I’ve posted a new photo essay about the street I currently live on in Bangkok. I’ve been here for about five months and find it’s kind of a perfect example of what you’ll find on streets throughout Thailand’s capital city. I’ll be leaving this street (or “soi” in Thai) in about three weeks to head back to the states for the holidays. When I return to BKK in January, I’m going to find an apartment in a different part of town, just to force myself to do more exploration.

A few preview photographs below. Click here for the photo essay.

  • Such beautiful photos, Tess. I’m finishing Leap now and it’s wonderful.

We’ll be visiting Bangkok for the first time this NYE. Any tips? Favorite spot to bring in the new year?
